Offsite Venues with Verified Wifi and A/V (and the Ones That Only Claim It)

Published September 3, 2026

Every venue in Medellin will tell you it has wifi. Most of them are telling the truth about the router and not about the bandwidth. The question that matters is whether forty laptops on a video call with the New York office survive it, and whether the projector has an input your presenter's laptop can use.

What verified means on this site

We mark wifi and A/V as verified only when we have seen published specifications or checked the room ourselves before sending a working session there. Two venues currently meet that bar. Binn publishes its A/V inventory, including large screens and a Bose sound system, for its fifteenth-floor salon and Etro rooftop. Centro Empresarial El Poblado is a purpose-built business facility with a published 2026 tariff, eight training rooms, and a modular auditorium. Everything else is marked ask, and we confirm before introduction.

The checklist to send any venue

Symmetrical bandwidth in numbers, not adjectives. Wired ethernet at the presenter position. A dedicated network for the group rather than the guest wifi. The projector or LED wall and its actual inputs. A microphone system with more than one handheld. Backup connectivity, which in the Oriente usually means a Starlink or a 4G router. Power outlets per table. Whether there is a generator. If the venue cannot answer these in writing, plan the working sessions somewhere that can.

Hotel tier

InterContinental's Salon Antioquia takes one hundred to five hundred. Marriott runs dedicated meeting floors. NH Collection Royal does intimate to mid-sized rooms. Four Points' largest room is three hundred theater or two hundred ten banquet. Park 10 handles conference formats to about one hundred thirty. Diez runs up to about two hundred twenty. Binn's salon runs thirty to one hundred with published specs. All of these issue a factura. We confirm the specific room's setup before we send a working session; hotel A/V varies by floor and by which rooms were renovated last.

Business center

Centro Empresarial El Poblado is the transparent option: six hundred seat auditorium partitioning to ninety, one hundred twenty, or one hundred fifty; eight training rooms; a terrace for one hundred thirty; published 2026 full-day rates of COP 8.5 million for the auditorium and COP 5.3 million for the terrace. No lodging; the team sleeps at a Poblado hotel a short cab ride away.

Campestre

Riojana, Fizebad, Aguas Claras, and the other Oriente and Norte estates are beautiful and they are where the closing dinner and the activity day belong. Wifi must be verified property by property. Some have fiber, some have a residential plan shared with the caretaker's house, some have a Starlink that works until it rains. Do not put the all-hands at the finca unless we have checked the connection.

The pattern that works

Working sessions at a hotel or the business center. Rooms at the hotel. Activity day and closing dinner at the finca. The team gets the Medellin experience and the CTO gets a video call that does not drop.

Next step

Tell us whether the sessions are working sessions with video calls, presentations only, or mostly social. We match the venue to that and confirm the room before we introduce you.
