The Brown Hotel

The Brown is a design hotel on the Guatape waterfront, ninety minutes east of Medellin. It is not a Saturday-night salon. It is the venue you choose when you want the wedding to be a three-day event with the guests staying on the property, boat rides on the embalse, and the Piedra de Guatape as a photo backdrop.

For fifty to eighty guests who are all flying in and treating the trip as a destination weekend, this trades the city convenience for a much stronger story. For a large local wedding with day-trip guests, the drive back to Medellin at midnight is a real problem and you should choose a metro-area venue instead.
